Boris Johnson government returns to pre-2012 policy that Theresa May called “too generous”
International students are set forth to be offered a two-year post-study work visa extension. According to the current regulations, international graduates can only have 4 months to look for a job after graduation. With the new regulation to be in force in the upcoming year, international students will have a two-year extension right for their post-study work visas.
It is a return to the policy that May addressed “too generous” and was scrapped by the coalition government in 2012, a move highly blamed for a drop in international student enrolments.
